ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT for 9th Batch (2015-17)

The KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), Bhubaneswar was established on 20th November 2006 as a constituent of KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. It offers 2 year MBA (Rural Management) programme with triple benefit namely knowledge, experience and career. The knowledge through courses in Rural Management domain, experience through its field segments and career through placement programme. So far we have offered exciting careers to 356 students who passed out from KSRM.

In last 7 years of its existence KSRM has constantly worked to improve the rigor of our programme to offer a portfolio of benefits to students which we have now named as knowledge, experience and career. Having grown vertically in terms of the quality of our programme, we are now attempting to expand horizontally to cover all the geographies within the country and streams of graduation in the country. The larger objective is to bring different perspectives and thoughts to Rural Management discipline and holistically develop Rural India to eliminate inequality of all kinds.

Having developed our own knowledge base in Indian context with untiring efforts of faculty and students we are sure of bringing new connect between our thoughts and ground reality. Research helped us to substantially revise our field segments and course content which has also been approved by high profile board of studies of KSRM with representation from institutes like IRMA, IIT Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon and leading NGO.

Therefore, we are ready to intensify our efforts and create connect with highly motivated potential students and increase our student strength close to hundred.

The KIIT University has been categorized as “A” Grade university by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India on Tandon Committee Recommendations. The MBA(RM) programme is approved by AICTE.
Accreditation by NAAC of UGC with ‘A’ Grade.
Accreditation by NBA of AICTE.
The MBA(RM) Programme is approved by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and graduates become eligible to enroll in fellow/doctoral programmes in leading institutes and Universities.

MBA (Rural Management): Graduate in any discipline recognized by the AIU with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education and having minimum 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent CGPA) with valid CAT, KIITEE Management, XAT and CMAT score. The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned University/ Institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree.

The students who are appearing for final year graduation exams are also eligible to apply and will be given provisional admission subject to submission of their final results before 30th September 2015.

Cancellation of Admission Offer:

The admission of a candidate will be automatically cancelled, if any information provided in the application form is found incorrect or missing.
Those fail to submit the final degree in time as stipulated or fail to secure minimum eligible marks in the degree examination.
Non fulfillments of terms and conditions of the admission offer letter.

Basis of selection:

Candidates shall be shortlisted on the basis CAT, KIITEE Management, XAT and CMAT exam scores and other exam scores for appearing in Group Discussion (GD) and / or Personal Interview (PI) at Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai.

The final selection shall be based on CAT, KIITEE Management, XAT and CMAT exam scores, career marks and performance in GD & PI. Successful candidates will be intimated of their final selection through admission offer letter containing the terms and conditions of admission on or before 31st March, 2015.

The selected candidates shall confirm and accept the admission with terms and conditions for taking admission to the programme and submit the Acceptance Letter in its prescribed format.

Fee Structure:

The total fee for the MBA( Rural Management) programme is Rs.6.47 lakhs payable in four installments. The fee includes all expenses Hostel, Mess and including provision of Laptop to all students. No other fee is charged during the full duration of the programme.

ONLINE APPLICATION

• Candidates applying ONLINE would be required to submit copies of their mark sheets and other supporting documents at a later stage, as will be instructed by the institution. Payment can be done through Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking etc.

• Candidates applying through OFFLINE need to make a DD of Rs. 1250/- drawn in favour of “KIIT School of Rural Management”, payable at Bhubaneswar. The DD along with the filled in and signed application form needs to be sent to “Admissions Coordinator, KIIT School of Rural Management, Campus – 7, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar – 751024″. Name and Address of the candidate needs to be mentioned on the reverse of the Demand Draft.Candidates should retain photocopies of the DD and the application form submitted for future reference.
  
  The last date for applying to KSRM with valid exam mentioned above is 31st January, 2015.
  
  KSRM has registered itself as Non-IIMs Member Institutions for CAT, 2014. However, IIMs have no role, what so ever, in the selection process of KSRM.
